Hi Everyone! It's time to get started again with 10 club. We're so excited to see everyone and make a difference in Cache Valley. Please come to the church building behind the Providence Zions Bank at 8:30 Wednesday night. Bring ten dollars, a friend, and some ideas. Can't wait to see you all there!

Summer is over

Hello everyone!

The majority of people that emailed back thought every other month will be best, so that is what we are going to do. Hopefully everyone is okay with this. Also, I'm emailing to find out who is still interested in participating. Not that you HAVE to come, but it would be nice to know about how many are planning on coming so we have a better idea how much money we will have to go towards the different service projects. Also, I don't want to bother anyone with emails if they aren't interested. So if you are or aren't, will you please email me back (the10club@hotmail.com) and let me know. I'm planning on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, every other month. So October 21st will be our first meeting, then we will meet the 3rd Wednesday of December, February, April, etc. Will 9:00 work for everyone? I know we had changed it to 8:30 last year, but I've had a couple requests to move it back to 9. Please let me know your thoughts because I really would like this to work out for as many people possible. I think this has been a great way to make friends, help others, and just get out of the house for a couple hours. THANK YOU for all you have done! This has really meant a lot to me!

May 10 Club meeting

Hello everybody-
Just a reminder that our next ten club meeting is just around the corner. It will be Wednesday the 20th at 8:30 at our new stake center. This will be our last meeting before we break for summer, so hopefully everyone can come. We are doing a really great project this month. Julia Lyman has a relative on a mission in Ethiopia who has said that they are in great need of white cotton dress shirts for the Deacon aged boys. They will need the white shirt when they are ordained to pass the sacrament. We will be purchasing as many shirts as we can and sending them to Julia's relative to distribute to the boys in need. We will be talking more about where these shirts will be sent and who they will be sent to at our meeting so come, it should be a lot of fun. Hope to see you all there.

The snow's going to melt and this is what we'll do...I have faith.

Last night we had a great time and a great turn out. The hats were DARLING and a lot of us learned a cute new craft for our daughters/nieces/sisters, etc. I forgot my camera last night! So, no footage. Bummer.
After the activity, some of us stayed after and were chatting about some more ideas for service and for our monthly activity. We came up with a few things, but we need more.
Will everyone please keep their ears and eyes open and maybe even ask around so we can find people who are truly in need of some compassion and service right now. It could be an organization, a family, or even a person. Please post any ideas in the comments or e-mail them to Lindsay at the10club@hotmail.com.

April Meeting

Our next 10 Club meeting will be on April 15th. For the service project we will be buying cute beanie hats & making flowers to go on them for Primary Children's Hospital. I think this is such a neat project because I am sure most families have dealt with cancer in some way. We didn't raise a lot of money from last meeting & would love to be able to raise more. If you would like to donate your $10, please bring it to either Joanna Chase or to me by this next Monday (April 6th) so that they can order as many beanies as possible. Thanks for all you do! And please let me know if you have any questions or need anything!

February 10Club meeting

Just a quick reminder that we'll be having our monthly meeting next Wednesday, February 18th at 9:00 at the Providence ward house. We will be making cards and getting some flowers to take to some widows in the area. Bring your friends! It will be a great change to hang out, get caught up, and do some good. From now on, we will meeting every 3rd Wednesday of every month unless something is in the way. See you there!

For the month of January, the 10 club $$ was spent on baby supplies that were donated to CAPSA. When the items were dropped off, the woman receiving the items told us that disposable items such as diapers, wipes, plastic utensils and paper plates are always needed and they were so grateful for the donation. She also said that if they paid their volunteers, they would've had to pay over$250,000 last year. Incredible! Thanks everyone!

January 10 Club meeting

Hi Everyone!
Hope you all had a great holiday season. This is just a quick note to let you all know that we'll be having another 10 Club meeting this coming Tuesday the 13th at 9:00 pm at the Providence 5th and 10th ward house. We're going to work on sewing some more outfits like we did last month. Many hands make light work! So bring your friends or anyone who is interested. Also, bring a sewing machine if it is feasible.

November's service projects were a success, & towels seemed to be the theme. We were able to buy 14 towels for CAPSA & had many more donated. We also bought 47 towels for the Burmese refugees, & were still able to buy 2 Thanksgiving dinners for deserving families. Thanks to everyone for their help & support!

FOR OUR NEXT 10 CLUB MEETING....

we will be collecting money for December's project.

Because we really want to make Christmas meaningful for a few families, we would like to try a "Big Give" type collection.

Here's how it will work:

You have from now until our next meeting to collect as much money as you can.

However.... you personally can ONLY donate $10. Any other donations you bring have to come from someone else.

So this is your chance to get other people involved!

Ask friends to help with donations, talk to a local business, spread the word to people in other areas of cache valley, get your kids involved.... BE CREATIVE!

Even if everyone in the 10 club was only able to double their own money it would make a big difference! So let's give it our all and see who ends up being the "Biggest Giver" for December!

Cache Valley 10 Club gets under way

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Cache Valley 10 Club. We are a small club dedicated to service. This club is a way for women to get away from their every-day lives while helping people and organizations in need of time and money from volunteers in the valley. Last night (the 21st of Oct.) the club was started with a small meeting where we introduced ourselves, and brainstormed ideas for ways for us to volunteer our time and a little money every month in the hope that we can help those around us in need. The idea is that we all get together once a month, and donate $10. We will pool our money to fund service projects around the valley. We had a great turnout last night and we're so excited to get things rolling! Anyone and Everyone is invited.
